Writer - David Allen
Director - Chris Langman
Summary -
When Jack and Jo's line dancing teacher
Debbie Carlisle asks the police for help because she's being stalked, she
thinks she knows who the stalker is. Peter Stamford - the man who'd previously
become so obsessed that he stalked her. So is he the man who's stalking
her now? Debbie believes he is, and so does Jo, but as the story unfolds
more suspects appear. There's Peter Stamford, married with one child and
another on the way, 'Mac' Debbie's dancer who's known to become possessive
about his girlfriends and Clive Rawlings, the dance student who seems slightly
obsessed with Debbie but would he go as far as to hurt her? But don't forget
there's also Carol, who joint owns the dance school with Debbie.
Debbie was receiving cards and getting
phone calls but she just ignored them until she received the dead wreath
of flowers.
Not shortly after the flowers Debbie herself
is attacked, when she was knocked over.
The evidence confuses Ben and Jo, but
when they realise who the stalker is it all makes sense. Clive admits to
sending Debbie the little Valentine's Day cards, but says he had nothing
to do with anything else. And Peter Stamford swears he had nothing to do
with it, but even his wife doubts him.
It turns out that Carol Gibson, who owns
the dance school with Debbie was the 'stalker'. Carol was trying to warn
Debbie away from 'Mac'. Both Carol and Debbie had had bad experiences with
men so they felt a connection with one another, but then 'Mac' came along
and Carol felt Debbie might get hurt again, so for Debbie's sake, she was
trying to scare her off.
