Kanga doesn't know where he is, just that
he needs help. It doesn't help that the phone he's ringing on is
his mother's boyfriends mobile. Zoe's
brought in the try help the little baby and that keeps Kanga busy as he
wets a face cloth and dabs his sister
with it cooling her body temperature down.
When there's a knock on his door PJ tells him to play a game of mouse, and what he has to do is pretend he's a mouse and be really, really quiet. This works and the boyfriend goes back away. The Heelers can hear a bulldozer in the background so they assumed he was near some kind of land development area because they thought they'd heard the evidence of it. One of the houses on the list of names Dash had of possibilites was near the an area like that so Maggie who was in the area went to the house.
When she knocked on the door PJ could hear it on the phone, so he told Kanga to open the door because there was an officer there who could help him. When he opened the door however, it wasn't to Maggie, it was to Simmo his mothers boyfriend. And Maggie was knocking on the door calling out to Kanga, to be greeting by a lady with her child. Both Maggie and PJ realised it was the wrong place at the same time and they could only hope that Kanga got out with Ellie in time.
Now they're stuck because the phone has been hung up so they have no contact with Kanga. The Heelers bring in a blind man so he can tell them if he hears any particular sounds around the area of the house... and he does. The sound of seagulls. Because of the seagulls they knew he must be near the tip, so they searched along the streets looking for any signs of a struggle, but soon they found an address from a file she had.
When they arrived at the house though, it was deserted except the mother who Zoe was able to look at and help. PJ and Maggie searched the backyard and discovered it backed onto the tip. There was a way under the fence that you could go to get through, so Maggie and PJ went through and were searching for Kanga and Ellie. They got to a group of concrete pipes and PJ played a game of I Spy with Kanga trying to find him. He hears Kanga call out, so he crawls through the pipe to find Kanga with Ellie.
They're taken to the hospital and are both
fine luckily. PJ gives Kanga the train track he promised him, then he tells
Maggie how it was strange how protective he got over a kid he'd never met.
The boyfriend is found, and identified because of the bite mark (made by
Kanga) on his leg.
