Summary -
When Nick and Adam are stopped on the
road by a young girl their lives change. Her sister is stuck in a drain
water pipe and the rain is pouring down
on them all. Nick takes over and goes quickly to find the little girl named
Jenny while Adam tries to calm down her
sister and he puts her in the police car to get her out of the rain. Adam
them goes to see how Nick is going getting
Jenny out of the drain pipe and finds Nick drenched and just
holding onto her hand. Nick tells Adam
to go and get help but when Adam returns to the road.
The car had disappeared. The whole side of the road had disappeared. It had collapsed into the river and the girl was in it. Adam jumps in after it but he can't find the car. Then when he eventually finds it he get's the girl out of the car but he can't get out of the river because the banks collapsed.
When he finally gets out the girl is really sick so he runs about 2 k's to the nearest property carrying her and get's them to take her to the hospital. When Adam returns to where Nick was with the girl, Nick had lost his grip and the girl and been pulled down the river.
Nick doesn't know what's happened to Adam
so he yells at him and pushes him because he didn't get help. All this
is told in flashbacks the everyone else at the station. The young girl
Jenny didn't survive but her sister that Adam saved did.
