Just before Greg died, he wrote the letters
PE on a notepad next to him. Presumably the first 2
letters of a number plate. Returning to
the station Robyn immediately searches for any four wheel drives or
pannel cars with a number plate starting
with PE. As they start to search they receive a call about a stolen car
with number plate PET 933. Driving to
this persons house they encounter a car with this number plate.
Then we see the beginning of Ben's day as he was setting off camping with his kids, when he received his call. We then see them interviewing the driver of the car who claims he just stole the car so he could go and visit his girlfriend and that he stole it about 7:30 which is at least 30 minutes after the murder occured.
Ben, Tom and Falcon Price then head over
to tell Jannice, Greg's wife. And Ben takes Ella down to
where his kids are where Madeline contronts
Ben and tells him he knows Greg is dead.
We then see PJ getting woken up by the call, and PJ accessing the scene of the crime. We then see PJ, Ben and Robyn working out how the murder occurs and realise that Brian White, the real owner of the car owns a 22 shot gun which is the same type of gun that Greg was shot with. They then receive 2 calls, one from the antique shop of which $20,000 worth of things had been stolen from that morning before the accident. The assistent had called in to say she hadn't been there the night before and the other was from the travel agents saying that Brian White was at the travel agents right then. Rushing off there they apprehend him and take him back to the station. They then discover that he had been at a party all night and had left at ten to seven, hitch hiking because his car was stolen.
We then see Dash's morning and we see how she copes with Greg's death. Then we see Mary Banks being interviewed and how she first denyed telling them about the $20,000 in the safe at work, but later admitted it.
We then see Tom's morning and find out
how he coped with the events and other things that happened to him
during that time. We discover Tom has
gone to talk to Brian White's parents and runs into Neville. Neville pulls
out his gun and makes Tom sit inside the house. As he threatens him, Jack
quitely comes in then grabs him and arrests him. We then see Tom thanking
Jack and we then see the Heelers down at the pub and Emma does a dance
for them. Jack then tells Roybn it isn't her fault he died, because Greg
and his wife were going to take Ella to a concert, he wanted the afternoon
off so he was glad to be able to swap with Robyn. We then see Dash admitting
she is actually sad to Tom. Then PJ is seen calling Pat and asking if he's
seen Maggie and if she has any messages for him, but gets told he doesn't
have any messages. PJ then leaves to go down to the pub. We then see the
phone ringing... and getting left unanswered.
